Events/Activities

The UNSW Economics Society (EcoSoc) holds a variety of careers, academic and social events throughout the year in order to help develop a sense of community and to give students and members the best opportunity in university and in entering the workforce. Our two flagship projects are the UNSW Economics Careers Day, an annual careers fair with information stalls and individual sponsor firm presentations, and the RBA Economics Competition, an annual national essay competition sponsored by the Reserve Bank of Australia. But that's not all! In 2011 we've got lots planned, including fortnightly chillin',

Chillin'

Uni's not all lectures, studying and essays! Once a fortnight we get together as a club and just hang out on campus - whether that be a BBQ, heading to UniBar for a few drinks or something else. It's a great change to meet some new people, find out what's coming up in EcoSoc and UNSW, grab the latest copy of our newsletter and enjoy campus life. You can also meet the exec and help us plan the next up and coming event. So whether you're a first year in your first week on campus or a 5th year desperate to finish, come hang out! Our next chillin' will be .......

EcoSoc Professional Mentoring

The USNW Economic Society is opening applications for mentees for our 2012 Professional Mentoring Program. The program aims to inspire, motivate and educate UNSW students about the opportunities available for employment and leadership in sectors related to Economics. Mentors will be carefully paired with selected students to share their experience and advice on a range of work options and actively support the students pursuing a career in the field. For more information check out the Facebook event. Applications close 11.59pm on the 22nd of January 2012.
